Common questions
- Can Revertly undo changes made before I installed it?
- No. Revertly takes a full copy of your products when you install it and records every change from then on. Install it before you need it.
- How do I undo a change?
- Open Revertly in your Shopify admin. Each change in the feed has an Undo button; click it, check the preview and confirm. To roll a product back to an earlier point, open the product and choose "Restore to before this" on the change you want to go back past.
- How do I undo a bulk edit or a bad import?
- Use Bulk undo. Pick the time window the mistake happened in (for example "last hour"), optionally limit it to prices, text, tags, status, SKUs or metafields, review the products it will touch, and start. You get a result for each product.
- Will an undo overwrite changes made since?
- No. A field is only put back if it still has the value the bad edit gave it. If someone changed it again since, it is left alone and listed as "changed again since" in the preview.
- How do I bring back a deleted product?
- Open Deleted products and click Restore product. It is recreated as a draft with its variants, prices, SKUs, description, tags, SEO, metafields and images, so you can check it before publishing. Shopify gives it a new product ID; inventory quantities, reviews and links from orders are not restored.
- What is not restored?
- Inventory quantities (stock counts change with every sale), collections, metafields owned by other apps, and image changes on a product that still exists (images are re-attached when a deleted product is recreated). Deleted products with more than 100 variants can't be recreated automatically; email us and we'll help.
- How does billing work?
- Plans are based on how many products your store has. Paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice and start with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. Change or cancel any time on the Plans page.
- What happens to my data if I uninstall?
- Recording stops immediately and all your history and backups are deleted 48 hours later. See the privacy policy.
